What made you decide to invest in wedding videography?

We invested in a videographer as videos capture emotions, reactions and allows you to relive the day/event over and over. There is so much that happens at a wedding that the bride and groom do not notice or see, so watching this back is amazing.

Why did you choose Castle Media?

​

You videographed my best friend Shenayde and Shane’s wedding many years ago and their wedding video was amazing. I never noticed you being there at the time which is important to make guests comfortable.

What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life?

​

Charlotte is a social worker and works to keep children safe and Mitch is a heavy diesel mechanic. In our spare time, we love being out in the ocean or bush, fishing and diving as well as camping and four wheel drive. We love being outdoors and experiencing new places.

The proposal...

​

We were going to Kalbarri for a holiday, which Charlotte nearly cancelled due to a massive load at work. We ended up going, Charlotte being very stressed! Mitch insisted we went to the beach, in the strongest winds we have ever experienced. As Mitch was trying to be secretive, Charlotte was getting very angry and frustrated, like Mitch asking if Charlotte was going to get changed or not, refusing to stop for lunch due to time, and refusing to pay for the camp site, insisting we would go back. We had lunch, full of sand, and continued to argue over the wind. Mitch tried to work out the GoPro selfie stick which ticked Charlotte off. Mitch randomly started running up a big sand dune and Charlotte ran after asking if he saw an emu (due to previous times Charlotte hasn’t followed and Mitch see’s emus). Mitch got the video out at the top, started talking and Charlotte’s response as “all that for this?”. Mitch began recording, got down on one knee, with the ocean in the background. After Charlotte said yes of course, he told Charlotte to turn around, where there family members were driving up the beach, complete surprise!

The venue? Why Eight Willows Retreat above anywhere else?

​

Our venue has everything all in one place, a beautiful bush chapel as well as a lake and green grass for the reception. As we love being on the ocean and in the bush, this is the best of both worlds! The venue also offers on site accommodation which can accomodate all our guests, including many family members of Charlotte’s from the UK! The venue is breath taking.

What experience do you want to give your guests?

​

We want to give our guests a day that they won’t forget. We want guests to see the pure love we experience, as we live away from them all and they miss a lot of our relationship. We want guests to have a great party, dancing, laughing and lots of fun!
