LINDSAY + ALEKS // CHURCH OF ST SAVA WEDDING

What made you decide to invest in wedding videography?

We want to be able to look back in years to come and remember all of the fun, loving and amazing details of our special day as well as being able to share it with others and one day our kids.

Why did you choose Castle Media?

We first met you and Simone at a Wedding Expo and after looking at all your videos on Instagram loved the work you do and how invested you are in your clients.

What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life?

We both value our family and friends above all else. We love walking to our local cafe for breakfast, our travel adventures together and morning coffees in bed. Both being accountants (which is where we met as we used to work for the same company) we have pretty busy work schedules so getting away to travel and relax is our favourite times. A few years ago we bought a house together which meant that even with late work schedules we always get to come home to each other! Our weekends are spent usually with friends and family, out to dinner and drinks with the people we love.

The proposal...

We shared our first date next door at   Estate in 2017. After 5 years together, when it was finally time for Aleks to propose, he booked dinner at Sandalford Restaurant and made an excuse for us to go to the cellar door at Mandoon first, so that he could pop the question in the garden where we shared our first date.

The venue? Why St Sava and Sandalford Estate above anywhere else?

Church - Being Serbian, Aleks has always wanted to get married at the Serbian Orthodox Church which is a place him, his family and friends go. The Serbian community is hugely family orientated and the Church forms part of the cultural connection they all have with their home country. Despite neither of us being particularly religious, we both love the cultural and community aspect of the events held at the church. Since we first started dating Lindsay has involved herself in the cultural and family aspects of the Serbian community here in Perth, even getting christened into the Orthodox Church before marrying Aleks.

Sandalford - After Aleks proposed at Mandoon, next door, we had lunch together at Sandalford and we both fell in love with the venue, the wine barrel walls and wooden decking overlooking the beautiful gardens. The Swan Valley holds such a special place in our hearts being where we shared not just our first date but many after that.

What experience do you want to give your guests?

We want our guests to remember our wedding as a day and night full of love, laughing, dancing and happiness!
