CAITLIN + BRAYDEN // OLD BROADWATER FARM WEDDING
What made you decide to invest in wedding videography?

We wanted to be able to watch back our special day for many years to come, and to have something to show our children as I loved watching my parents wedding video when I was younger. It's so special to be able to capture all the moments from the day and get to relive some of them, as well as see some moments for the first time that we may have missed with the enormity of the day.

Why did you choose Castle Media?

We started off looking into videography and as soon as we saw your videos, we just knew we had to have you on our big day! You also came very highly recommended from our venue but it was your videos that won us over. Your work was like getting to watch short movies, getting a glimpse into your special day, but also making it feel like you got to see the whole day in that short space of time. We were also drawn to the fact that you provide all footage from the day as something that might seem really standard, might have been the best part of our day so we like that we get to see everything and not just bits and pieces that are chosen for us. Your work speaks for itself with the incredible talent you have for showcasing the best day of people's lives and we just knew you were our videographer as soon as we came across your videos.

What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life?

Brayden owns his own Carpentry Company, Adey Construction and Caitlin works as a Payroll Officer for an Engineering company. We love to spend our time hanging out with friends and family, chilling out together in our house, watching the footy (AFL) and lots and lots of travelling! The most important things in life for us are our family, our friends and making the most out of the small things in life, because they really turn out to be the big things.

The proposal...

Brayden had organised a very romantic setup and decoyed it with a trip to the Swan Valley as we needed to get gifts for his parents to take to his brother and in-laws in England the following week. We started by having a lovely lunch at Bailey Brewing Co and watching the footy before moving onto Margaret River Chocolate Factory to get the gifts, as well as a quick pitstop at Morrish Nuts for Mother's Day presents. Brayden then had planned to go to some markets which is where we headed to next. He pulled up to the wrong carpark though and I saw a light up M sticking out from behind a tree, and very nearly told him "look there's someone getting engaged over there" but then realised this could be for me so I stayed quiet as couldn't see any markets around. Brayden then moved the car to the other side of the bridge and when we started walking towards the other side where the lights were, I knew what was about to happen. He had organised a massive light up MARRY ME with a red carpet and candles either side, a massive bunch of red roses and a picnic blanket for us to enjoy and it was such a beautiful moment!

The venue? Why Old Broadwater Farm above anywhere else?

Ever since the first wedding we attended at Old Broadwater Farm, we knew we absolutely loved the venue! It was the first time I had ever pictured my wedding in detail and could see it so plainly happening at this venue. The mix of outdoor and indoor was such a massive selling point as we knew we wanted the best of both worlds and having both the ceremony and reception in the one place was a big drawcard. The way the venue looks in photographs and videos is magical and we just knew we had to have our special day here.

What experience do you want to give your guests?

We want our guests to experience a chilled out, fun, full of laughs and love kind of day! We just want everyone to have the best time letting their hair down and also getting to share in the love that they have all had a hand in, as they are all people that have shaped both of our lives in such massive ways throughout the years.
