ELIZABETH + THOMAS // CHAPEL FARM ESTATE WEDDING

What made you decide to invest in wedding videography?

We wanted a video to show our children in the future and to share with friends and family who are too far away or unwell to be present.

Why did you choose Castle Media?

We liked your cinematic yet authentic style.

What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life?

Elizabeth is a high school teacher working in a specialised learning program for autism. Tom is a heavy duty diesel mechanic. We both love the simple, quiet things in life. Tom is happiest outdoors and loves to take the camper out bush, Elizabeth loves getting to read in peace away from the emails and phone calls. When he’s not working away, you’ll find Tom tinkering in the shed or helping a friend or family member to fix something. When she finds a free moment, Elizabeth is reading or feeding/resuscitating the sourdough starter she forgot in the back of the fridge.

The proposal...

Tom was working away on Valentine’s Day so he planned a surprise weekend getaway down south in early March. Elizabeth was sure that the fluffy highland cows they met at their accomodation (Willow Wood Glamping) was the surprise and was very reluctant to get back in the car… Luckily she did, because Tom had organised a helicopter tour of the coast with a pit stop on a secluded beach. Tom dropped to one knee on a windswept beach whilst waves crashed on the rocks, before the helicopter returned and dropped them off for lunch at Aravina Estate.

The venue? Why Chapel farm Estate above anywhere else?

We chose the venue because it perfectly captured the aesthetic we wanted. We liked that we didn’t have to source and hire a lot of decorations and it captured both Tom’s country style and Elizabeth’s romantic/antique style.

What experience do you want to give your guests?

We want people to walk in and feel like it is very ‘us’. We want the vibe to be romantic and old world, but not stuffy, with lots of laughter, smiles and dancing.
