GEORGIE + ANGELO // SAINTS CONSTANTINE & HELENE WEDDING
What made you decide to invest in wedding videography?

We wanted to be able to re live the memory of our wedding every anniversary. We want to be able to hear voices of love ones even after they are gone.

Why did you choose Castle Media?

We had engaged conversations with Simone Harris prior to meeting her at the Wedding expo back in April, who advised she collaborates with you and she had also sent me some of your work that you had completed at Ambrose Estate (which was incredible). When we met you both in person, we knew pretty instantly that we had found the perfect photographer / videographer combo for us, that would work with our style and were personable. Sometimes you don't need to meet too many different vendors to compare, and you just need to trust your gut when you know you have found the right one.

What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life?

When we aren't grinding that corporate life, we are living our best life travelling (to East Coast or Europe), going to music events / festivals, spending time with each other and our favourite people, playing games, going to the beach.
Spending quality time together, laughing, enjoying the nice but simple things in life are what is important to us. But more than anything, is just doing life together whatever that might be. We absolutely love spending time with one another and enjoy each and every day we get to have together.
Above all else, being in each others' company is all we need.

It happened on Friday, 16 February 2024. It had already been a pretty hectic start to our 2024 so earlier that week, Angelo had said lets have a date night just us 2 at Kings Park this Friday. It is not uncommon for us to have date nights so I thought nothing of it.
Angelo was acting a little funny right before we left, so I thought he had organised a double date with his cousin & his gf (as the gf & I had done a surprise double date for the boys a few months earlier). We got to Kings Park and I was wrong, so we got ourselves comfy on our picnic blanket, we ate, we drank, listened to music and played cards like we usually do.
At about 6pm, I saw out of the corner of my eye that Angelo's cousins and best mates had arrived to surprise us, Angelo said "surprise baby" and had organised everyone to attend to celebrate 4th year of the date we met (being 29 Feb 2020) but we were going to be in Melbs on this date. I was so shocked everyone was there so I am greeting / hugging everyone, then Angelo grabbed me by the hand and said there is just one more thing and took me to the centre of our blanked and dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him ... I was still reeling from everyone arriving and this totally shocked me, so naturally I started crying and swore multiple times, it took me about 15 seconds to compose myself to finally say yes. It is still such a blur. But it was such a special moment, shared with our closest (and what felt like hundreds of others that also decided on a picnic that night) at one of the most gorgeous locations in Perth.

We had a Christmas party with friends in December 2023. On our way home Georgie had asked so what is our plan, I played it down like it was on my list but not important, little did she know I was going to pick up the ring from the designer that very next day. The plan was to propose on our anniversary of meeting on the 29th of February in a hot air balloon, however, I couldn't wait and planned a private picnic for us 2.
As we got closer and wanted to capture the moment I thought lets make this a surprise picnic for Georgie with Family and Friends who were free (free media). All week I had this plan of what I was going to say as I got down on one knee. The Plan: as our friends and family appeared Georgie would be busy saying hello paying no attention to me and once she turns I'd be on one knee it would be perfect I had this great speech prepared.
Reality: As we walked to set up the picnic I thought IS EVERYONE IN PERTH HERE RIGHT NOW! haha. My mind was racing all afternoon, trying to make it there on time as we had everyone rocking up at 600 sharp. As they arrived, instead of taking my post while Georgie said hello I went and said hello to everyone too, then finally I grabbed her hand saying 'there is something else i want to tell you' dropped to my knee and was meant to say 'would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me' where in reality i think i skipped every second word and was shaking like crazy that i couldn't even hold her hand steady to put the ring on.

The venue? Why Saints Constantine & Helene Church and AmbroseEstate above anywhere else?

The Greek Church was chosen as Georgie is Greek Orthodox and wanted to do it for her Dad who unfortunately passed away last year.
As for Ambrose Estate, well we wanted bright, greenery and some form of water. Originally it was going to be right by the water at Nedlands Yacht Club, but when we decided on a Feb date we knew outdoors was risky with heat. We went to Ambrose Estate and fell in love, it ticks all the boxes of what we want in a venue. Plus Brooke (our coordinator) was so easy to liaise with, was flexible with our requests and its an absolute stunning venue. Was an instant yes!
Both essentially can be turned into fridges which was a big tick for Angelo.

What experience do you want to give your guests?

We want them to feel the love in the room! Most importantly, we want everyone to be mingling, dancing and having fun! Everyone knows us for always living our best life with each other so we want everyone to do the same with us.
